Michelin Announces
“International Check Your Wipers Day”

16 november 2022
  • Annual reminder date will now be observed in U.S., Canada and Europe

  • Second annual Nov. 16 “Check Your Wipers Day” goes international

  • Michelin launches “Hear Clearly” campaign to educate motorists

Nov. 16 will now be known as International Check Your Wipers Day, as Michelin has expanded the annual reminder date to Canada and Europe to emphasise the importance of optimal visibility while driving.

Last year, Michelin North America, Inc. and the registrar at the National Day Calendar introduced National Check Your Wipers Day, reminding U.S. drivers to regularly check their windscreen wipers.

Michelin will launch its “Hear Clearly” campaign, which uses the power of sound as a reminder that is time to change their wiper blades. The campaign seeks to help people identify the sound of a wiper gone bad.

“We are proud to celebrate International Check Your Wipers Day around the world to educate and remind drivers and their families to be prepared for weather on the road and be ready with optimal driving visibility,” said Shivam Saxena, Managing Director of Michelin Lifestyle.
