Michelin e.Primacy för svenska bilister som vill göra skillnad

Now Swedish motorists can make an active environmental choice when choosing tires for the summer season. As of March, Michelin e.Primacy is available on the Swedish market. The new tire fits all available passenger cars and is designed with modern engineering and a focus on sustainability and reduced environmental impact.

Michelin e.Primacy has the lowest rolling resistance in its category, which makes it more environmentally friendly and more economical. At the same time, the tire has all the positive properties in terms of safety, grip and durability that Michelin is known for. The tire is carbon neutral (CO2) at the time of purchase and is the world's first tire with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) with a life cycle analysis incorporated into the design to minimize environmental impact.

- We will halve CO2 emissions in production by 2030 compared to 2010, to become CO2 neutral by 2050. We develop solutions to use renewable and recycled materials in tire production and at the same time improve performance, says  Scott Clark, Deputy CEO of the automotive sector, member of the Michelin Group's executive committee. Within nine years, Michelin's tires will be 20 percent more energy efficient than they were in 2010.

Michelin e.Primacy will this year be available in 58 dimensions from 15 inches to 20 inches and fits all available passenger cars.

- Tomorrow everything will be sustainable. The low rolling resistance saves just over two decilitres of fuel per 100 km and reduces the cost by approximately SEK 1,000 over the life of the tire, says Michelin's Nordic manager Peyman Sabet.  Reduced fuel consumption means lower CO2 emissions, we have reduced environmental impact and sustainability in focus.

Michelin e.Primacy also supports the transition to electric cars. Low rolling resistance improves the energy efficiency of electric cars and increases the range by about 7 percent or about 30 km for a car with a range of 400 kilometers, compared to other tires in the same category.
